Art of Being an Artist is designed to help visual artists develop the skills they need to manage their own careers. Included is information regarding exhibition and marketing alternatives, galleries, resumes, documentation, contracts and business negotiations.

Sylvia White is the Founder and Director of Contemporary Artists' Services and has been advising artists on all matters related to  business, marketing and exhibitions since 1979.

Summer on the Central Coast

Paso Robles Art Association is holding a three-month exhibition in the beautiful Vina Robles gallery at Vina Robles Winery. This juried competition will be open to all artists at least 18 years of age. Work will be displayed June 9th through September 10th. Prospectus and information available soon.

General Information:

The purpose of the Paso Robles Art Association is to provide the North San Luis Obispo County with quality artwork and to raise awareness and appreciation of art in the community. The mission has a component of youth education in local schools and community outreach programs. Finally, the PRAA promotes, displays and offers fine art in a gallery setting.

The PRAA holds meetings on the second Monday of each month, from 10 am. until noon.   Each meeting features a demonstration by a well known artist and is open to the public. If you would like to become a member, you may do so by applying online at this site, at a meeting or by contacting our membership chair (see contacts page).
