Class Location: Classes are held in the Showroom Gallery or the classroom of Studios on the Park located at 1130 Pine Street in Paso Robles, CA.
Refund Policy: While we cannot give a refund, we can allow you to send a substitute if you are unable to attend the class.

KIDS CAMPS

All Camps 9:30 - 12 noon -- Monday - Thursday (except Camp #2) -- Artwork from each student will be displayed in the Showroom Gallery located in downtown Paso Robles.
$100 / Materials Fee $15 -- Limited to 9 students.

Camp #1 Ages: 10-12 Instructor: Monika Roe
Topic: "Paper Sculpture" April 2, 3, 4, 5 - Registration deadline is March 26
Description: Create beautiful 3-dimensional artwork by cutting subject matter from a variety of paper stocks and building the shapes together in layers. Students will explore space, depth and the concepts of foreground, middle ground and background.
Camp #2 Tuesday - Friday Instructor: Joy Krull
Ages: 5-7 Topic: Watercolor April 10, 11, 12, 13 - Registration deadline is April 3
The students will learn to handle brush, water and colors in making paintings. They will mix color and use watercolor techniques for a variety of subjects.

The students will learn to use pastel to create varied color and textures in painting animals,trees, flowers and chosen subjects.

Sign Up: Sign ups must be done in person a week before the scheduled art class at the Paso Robles Library, 1000 Spring Street.

Classes with Joy Krull

Joy Krull is a working professional artist who has been teaching art since 1980. She is experienced in all mediums, including oil/acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing and mixed media. She taught at Saddleback College, Coastline College, Tustin, Saddleback Adult Education and Cuesta College.
"Color and Design"
Tuesdays 1-4 pm All Levels Sessions: $100 Non Member/ $80 PRAA Members
DESCRIPTION: Introduction to a variety of colored mediums and their uses in designing and composing for creating better quality paintings. Making use of color mixtures and their interaction and using values to create focus. Bring the colored medium that you currently work in. We will discuss new ones and their working properties in class.

"Choose Your Own Medium"
Tuesdays 1-4pm All levels Sessions: $100 Non Members/ $80 PRAA Members
Learn to work in a familiar medium or try a new one! We will learn fundamentals and techniques unique to the medium of your choice and explore creative design and color approaches in picture making. Bring drawing materials and a medium of your choice to first class.

"Portraiture"
Tuesdays 1-4pm All levels Sessions $100 Non Members/ $80 PRAA Members
The class will learn to construct a portrait form head shape to features with drawing first and then color application. The full figure and its proportions and perspective will be covered. Bring to first class paper, 2B pencil, Kneaded eraser. We will discuss other materials the first day.

"Beginning Anatomy for Artists" with Kate Moulder

A beginning anatomy class that will cover the fundamentals of life drawing, proportions, anatomical landmarks and the skeletal system. This class is intended for artists that want to understand anatomy as it pertains to life drawing.
Kate Moulder is a figurative artist who studied and taught at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Kate taught Beginning and Intermediate Anatomy for Artists and she continues to consider life drawing and anatomy her artistic passion.

WORKSHOPS
Workshops are offered to both members and non-members and are posted as they are scheduled. To enroll in a workshop, complete an Enrollment Form, and send the form and payment by check to the P.O. Box indicated on the form or use the online PayPal buttons. Classes have limited enrollment, and payment constitutes a commitment.

Wine Country Acrylic Workshop
Instructor: Robert Reynolds; Award Winning and Internationally Recognized Painter, Professor of Art/Emeritus, Cal Poly University, Widely Published Author.
The paintings of San Luis Obispo native, Robert Reynolds, are in art collections throughout the United States and abroad. Images of his paintings have graced the pages and covers of national art magazines and his work is featured in over 20 books. Reynolds has assembled an impressive body of work and list of honors. He is a past winner of the Gold and Bronze honors in the California Discovery Awards, and the Bronze Award winner and Finalist (1999, 2000, 2004) in the Landscape category for the Artist Magazine's National Art Competition. The United States Postal Service chose Reynolds to do the artwork for a stamp commemorating the famed Hearst Castle.
In 2005, Reynolds participated in the invitational Biennale Internazionale Dell' Arte Contemporanea in Florence, Italy. His invitation was supported and endorsed by U.S. Congresswoman Lois Capps, representative for California's 22nd District. Reynolds has been listed for many years in a number of biographical journals, including Who's Who in American Art; Who's Who in America; Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in Education. In 2011, his work was featured in a solo exhibition at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.
